Job summary

Construction Quality Manager II oversees the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements. You write the project QC plan, lead three-phase control meetings, and ensure all test results and nonconformances are addressed with the owner’s QA representative.

You supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, assign daily coverage, and drive NCRs with documented causes and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Proven ability to lead QC teams and manage field inspectors and testing technicians.
• Strong written and verbal communication for NCRs and daily reports.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
