Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Manager with heavy civil construction experience to lead the Contractor's and/or Client's Quality Control Program for dam and lock electrical projects.

You will oversee construction inspection, testing services, and ensure work meets contractual requirements while maintaining McMillen’s standard of excellence. This role includes travel up to field sites and coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly desired.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a Quality Control capacity.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required.
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings.
• Verify materials meet approved submittals and specifications.
• Execute required testing procedures per contract documents and industry standards.
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation including daily reports and inspection/test records.
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties.
