Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the QC program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements. You will oversee field inspectors and technicians, write the project QC plan, and be the primary owner of test results and nonconformances.

Your week features defining work features, leading three-phase meetings, reviewing reports, and reporting by data rather than opinion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• At least 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Clear communication skills in formal owner/agency settings.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
