Job summary

CMTS LLC is seeking a QA/QC Technical Reviewer- Structural in Los Angeles, CA. This on-site role involves technical review of structural plans, ensuring compliance with CBC, CDE requirements, and district standards for educational facilities.

You will provide detailed comments and collaborate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and district staff to maintain design guidelines. The ideal candidate holds a CA PE license, 10+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of sustainability

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field required.
Ten years of full-time structural engineering experience in educational facilities.
Valid California PE license.
Knowledge of CBC, Cal Green, OSHA, ASHRE, ASTM standards.
Familiarity with DSA and CDE requirements.
LEED/CHPS and sustainability knowledge preferred.
Ability to provide clear technical comments.

Responsibilities

Perform technical review of proposed structural plans for construction projects.
Provide comments ensuring adherence to District standards and codes.
Support development/maintenance of the District design guidelines and standards.
Coordinate with A/E teams, Inspectors, and public agencies on reviews.
