Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA/QC experience within heavy civil construction.
• Experience with highways, bridges, utilities, transportation, marine, or other major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, materials testing, and inspection procedures.
• Experience working with DOT, public agency, or federally funded projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC documentation, contract compliance, and corrective action processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project specific QA/QC plans, procedures, and inspection processes.
• Lead quality control activities across highways, bridges, utilities, marine, and other heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, testing requirements, and contract documents.
• Coordinate inspections, material testing, laboratory testing, and third party quality requirements.
• Perform regular field inspections and verify work complies with approved plans and specifications.
• Identify deficiencies, establish corrective actions, and track issues through resolution.
• Maintain detailed quality records, inspection reports, testing documentation, and project closeout documentation.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Support project teams during owner, DOT, and regulatory inspections.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state DOT, federal, and project specific quality requirements.
• Develop and mentor project level QA/QC personnel and promote a strong quality culture across the organization.
