Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Quality Manager to lead project-specific QA programs on major transportation, transit, water, aviation, and heavy civil infrastructure projects. You will oversee QA testing, inspections, and training to ensure compliance and safe, quality outcomes for clients and communities.

Ideal candidates bring heavy civil construction experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work on-site with flexibility to meet project demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field with 6+ years of construction inspection experience.
• Associates Degree in related field with 6+ years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience on heavy civil construction projects.
• Understanding of technical requirements for construction systems, materials and equipment.
• Strong structural concrete experience in heavy civil projects.
• Experience representing contractor/owners’ interests on site.
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with PM-level personnel.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Flexible hours for construction observations and oversight.
• Ability to climb ladders/scaffolding and work at elevated locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage project construction QA programs.
• Oversee QA testing and inspection; coordinate resources for QA on-site daily/weekly.
• Provide training to ensure quality procedures are followed.
• Ensure inspectors’ training and certifications are in place for activities.
• Verify certifications for sampling/testing personnel.
• Maintain a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) log.
• Maintain utility relocations inspection information.
• Maintain lab equipment list, calibration data, and inspection dates.
• Schedule Hold Points for audits of on-going work.
• Coordinate with owner QA verification testing and IA requirements.
