Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead QA/QC on large-scale projects with field inspectors and technicians reporting to you. You will write the project QC plan, chair three-phase meetings, and present test results to owners’ QA reps.

You must have 6+ years in QC, 2+ years supervising staff, and relevant certifications (USACE CQM-C, ICC NICET Level III). Travel and site presence are required on federal and industrial programs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate.
• ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Clear written communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
