Job summary

TekPro seeks a Quality Manager for its Wheeling, IL operation to lead quality engineering, inspection, and metrology teams in a high-precision aerospace and medical environment. You will own the quality management system, drive corrective actions, and coordinate audits with cross-functional partners.

The role requires strong leadership, robust knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 13485, and hands-on experience with GD&T, CMM inspection, SPC, and CAPA processes.

Qualifications

• Leadership in manufacturing quality with close-tolerance machining.
• Experience maintaining AS9100 and ISO 13485 environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and metrology personnel with clear performance standards.
• Maintain and improve the quality management system supporting AS9100, ISO 13485, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate internal, customer, and certification audits; drive corrective actions.
• Lead customer complaints, nonconformance review, containment, root-cause investigations, and CAPA.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations on process capability, inspection planning, and defect prevention.
• Oversee first article inspection, dimensional inspection, CMM/metrology methods, calibration, and MSA.
• Support new product introduction with risk assessment, PFMEA, control plans, and APQP/PPAP where required.
• Manage supplier quality issues and ensure traceability, documentation, and change control.
