TekPro, partnering with a premier aerospace and defense precision machining company in the Bay Area, seeks a Quality Engineer at entry-to-mid level to move into inspection planning and quality engineering. The role focuses on connecting CNC programming, manufacturing, and quality control to define clear inspection plans using 1Factory.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and dimensional inspection.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to understand how individual machining operations relate to finished part features.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and cross‑functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review CNC programs, drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.
• Identify the features created or modified during each machining operation.
• Define inspection characteristics, methods, sampling requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with CNC programmers, machinists, manufacturing engineers, and Quality Inspectors.
• Identify gaps between programming intent, manufacturing execution, and inspection requirements.
• Support nonconformance investigations, root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, traceability, and configuration control within a regulated manufacturing environment.
