Job summary

Strategic Innovation Group, LLC in Arlington, Virginia, is seeking a QA/Test Lead to validate a federal analytics platform. You will own test strategy, test data, and the defect-tracking process, ensuring data lands in the core correctly, analytic rules fire as intended, and dashboards display accurate numbers for end users.

This data-centric role requires building expected-results sets, validating pipeline outputs, and facilitating user acceptance testing with client staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of software QA/testing experience, including 1+ years leading test planning for a team.
• Experience testing ETL/data pipelines; SQL to validate transformations and reconcile to source systems.
• Experience with test automation frameworks for APIs and web UI and CI/CD integration.
• Experience administering defect-tracking/workflow tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Experience facilitating user acceptance testing with government stakeholders.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for test-data generation and validation scripts.
• Excellent written communication for test plans and quality reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop the test strategy and master test plan covering data ingestion, data quality, analytic rules, and dashboards.
• Build and maintain sample and synthetic test data sets with known expected results.
• Design and execute integration, regression, and acceptance testing each sprint; automate where practical.
• Work with data engineering to define data-quality checks and error rates.
• Own the defect-tracking process: triage, severity classification, assignment, and reporting.
• Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing with client staff; capture feedback into backlog.
• Produce test reports, acceptance evidence, and quality metrics for the QASP and monthly reporting.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.
