Job summary

PowerToFly is seeking an experienced Senior Tester to lead ETL, AWS, and Databricks testing for government-focused initiatives. You will own the Integrated Test Environment and ensure accurate data validation across source-to-target flows.

You will perform API testing with Postman, build test automation for cloud testing, integrate tests into CI/CD, and mentor QA teammates while coordinating with data engineers and developers in a matrixed setup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology Quality Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in test automation.
• Experience in use of scripting languages such as Python, AWS, AccelQ, Selenium.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Jenkins, GIT, Selenium, Cloud or similar tools.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead ETL, AWS, and Databricks testing for government business initiatives, owning the Integrated Test Environment (INT) to maintain stable, efficient, and reliable testing operations.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes by verifying accuracy, completeness, integrity, and reconciliation between source and target systems.
• Direct system, integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing across complex data and cloud environments.
• Perform API testing using Postman and drive root cause analysis, defect prioritization, and issue resolution through closure.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks for ETL and cloud testing, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and measuring the resulting efficiency gains and business value.
• Manage outsourced and offshore testing partners while mentoring QA team members and aligning business analysts, developers, and data engineers on requirements, testing priorities, and quality standards within a highly matrixed organization.
