Job summary

Mphasis in the United States (New Jersey) seeks a hands-on Functional QA Lead with deep credit card issuer processing domain knowledge to lead functional testing, test automation, and data reconciliation.

You will design robust test strategies, automate across API, batch and end-to-end workflows, validate reconciliation between legacy and modernized platforms, and mentor QA engineers in a risk-based, automation-first approach.

Qualifications

• 8+ years QA experience including functional leadership and automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in credit card issuer processing.
• Deep understanding of payments, billing, credit allocation, balances, interest, fees, and delinquency.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing functional test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Java/Python, REST Assured, Selenium or Playwright.
• Strong API testing and automation experience.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end functional testing of credit card issuer processing capabilities.
• Design and execute complex business scenarios covering account lifecycle, authorization, settlements, and billing.
• Develop and maintain reusable, data-driven automated regression suites.
• Automate complex scenarios and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor QA engineers and collaborate with DevOps and developers.
• Validate data reconciliation between legacy and modernized systems.
• Define test strategy and risk-based testing approach.
