Mphasis is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer in New Jersey to drive automated testing across UI, API, and end-to-end flows. You will build reusable automation components, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance quality and release confidence.

The role emphasizes AI-powered automation and advanced testing strategies within an Agile environment to improve coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation.
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
Experience in UI Automation Testing, API Testing, End-to-End Testing.
Experience with REST APIs and JSON/XML payload validation.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

Create and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
Develop reusable utilities, libraries, and automation components.
Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API capabilities.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
Analyze test execution results, debug failures, and report defects effectively.
Collaborate with development and business teams during sprint planning and release cycles.
Ensure test coverage, test data management, and automation best practices.
Participate in code reviews and framework enhancement activities.
