Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Technical Quality Assurance Inspector II to perform detailed inspections during manufacturing, including dimensional and visual checks of items, sub-assemblies, or final systems. You will interpret prints and diagrams to approve or reject assemblies while ensuring compliance with quality standards and industry certifications.

You will document findings, maintain records, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Typically 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and documents.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring concepts and specifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to understand and interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Experience following and contributing to SOPs and work instructions.
• Availability to work second shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of manufacturing goods during the manufacturing process.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of items, sub-assemblies, or final assemblies.
• Interpret prints, drawings, diagrams, wire cards and lists to approve or reject in-process or final assemblies.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate inspection findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop understanding of industry standards and certifications (NASA, IPC).
