Blu Omega LLC is seeking a Test Engineer to support a Department of Veterans Affairs program, focusing on enterprise application quality and validation. The role involves manual testing across ingestion workflows, business rules, and enterprise integrations in a remote setting for a VA program.

The candidate will work within an Agile team, using Jira/XRay to manage test cases, defects, and traceability, and collaborate with VA stakeholders to confirm requirements and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Test Engineering or Quality Assurance for enterprise applications.
• Experience developing and executing manual test plans for file processing, data validation, and system workflows.
• Proficiency with Jira XRay for test management, defect tracking, and traceability.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and best practices.
• Ability to collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain manual test plans for file-based ingestion workflows and enterprise apps.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and rule compliance across processing stages.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across workflows and database updates.
• Collaborate with developers to understand functionality, database changes, and system integrations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure traceability.
