Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support testing and software quality for a VA initiative reducing SSN usage in VistA apps. Responsibilities include creating test cases, executing tests, and documenting defects across ADT, PCE, AICS, and related packages.

Responsibilities also cover validating enterprise identifiers, performing manual and automated testing, ensuring privacy and security compliance, and collaborating with developers and BAs throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software quality assurance or software testing experience.
• Experience developing and executing software test cases and test scripts.
• Experience documenting and tracking software defects.
• Experience performing functional and regression testing within enterprise software environments.
• Experience collaborating with developers and business analysts throughout the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to identify testing needs.
• Develop detailed test cases, test scripts, scenarios, and test data supporting project requirements.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing across impacted VistA packages.
• Validate removal or replacement of SSN data within workflows, interfaces, and reports.
• Verify implementation of enterprise identifiers and expected application behavior.
• Perform manual and, where applicable, automated testing.
• Document software defects, test failures, and track defects to closure.
• Collaborate with developers and BAs to reproduce issues and validate resolutions.
• Participate in defect triage and communicate defect severity, impact, and reproducibility.
• Ensure functionality meets documented requirements including privacy and security.
• Support testing for PII/PHI protection and NIST VA privacy controls.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, and results.
• Identify gaps in coverage and suggest QA process improvements.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and daily stand-ups.
