Job summary

Evolent is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance professional to develop and execute robust test plans for complex software. You will drive automation framework creation using Karate or Playwright, perform manual and automated testing, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.

Mentorship and metrics reporting are expected as part of this role. The candidate should have 5+ years of QA experience, strong coding skills for test automation, and a solid grasp of agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software quality assurance experience.
• Proficient with Karate or Playwright for test automation.
• Strong coding skills for test automation in C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive test plans and strategies for complex software applications.
• Lead efforts to create, maintain, and optimize test automation frameworks for improved efficiency and test coverage.
• Conduct detailed manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects, and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Mentor junior quality engineers, promoting best practices in testing and quality assurance.
• Analyze test data, generate quality metrics, and provide regular reports on software quality to stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and product planning to ensure quality is built into all phases of the software lifecycle.
• Stay updated on emerging testing tools, technologies, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability.
