Job summary

Ellkay, LLC is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with healthcare-domain knowledge to drive data validation, test automation, and end-to-end quality engineering. You will serve as an SME for Epic and/or Oracle Health (Cerner) and strengthen QA through automation and scalable testing practices.

You will develop advanced SQL queries, design reusable frameworks, and integrate testing into CI/CD, validating data across EHR/EMR, HL7, FHIR interfaces, and related systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years of software QA/Quality Engineering experience in data validation and test automation.
Hands-on Epic and/or Oracle Health (Cerner) experience with clinical workflows.
Advanced SQL experience for ETL/ELT and data transformations.
Proficiency in Python or another scripting language.
Experience with automation frameworks, APIs, CI/CD, and healthcare interoperability standards.

Responsibilities

Serve as a QA SME for Epic and/or Oracle Health (Cerner) and QA automation.
Lead end-to-end validation of healthcare apps, DBs, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, interfaces.
Define test strategies, scope, acceptance criteria, risks, and release readiness.
Develop data validation and regression tests using Python.
Build reusable automation frameworks and integrate tests into CI/CD.
Validate patient, provider, encounter, lab, medication, financial, and operations data.
Test platforms involving EHR/EMR, LIS, Revenue Cycle, ERP, HL7, FHIR, XML, JSON, REST.
Trace data across systems, perform root-cause analysis, and support regression testing.
Lead QA across projects, communicate risks, mentor engineers.
Apply AI-assisted testing to improve design, data generation, and defect analysis.
Ensure HIPAA/privacy/security and PHI/PII handling compliance.
