Shopware AG is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer for Checkout & Payments. You will ensure reliable payment journeys across Shopware and external services, focusing on hands-on integration testing, automation, and release readiness.

The role requires collaborating with Product Management and engineers to turn risks into executable tests and to improve CI-based testing coverage. The position emphasizes testing of payment outcomes, failure modes, and end-to-end scenarios, with

Competenze

• Experience delivering and maintaining automated tests for production software, including API/integration and end-to-end testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or JavaScript and practical experience with Playwright or a comparable framework.
• Experience with CI pipelines, Git, reproducible test environments, and debugging using logs, traces, and application code.
• An understanding of HTTP APIs, authentication, asynchronous processing, and state transitions, including how to test failure and retry behavior.

Mansioni

• Define and deliver risk-based coverage with Product and Engineering.
• Build and maintain automated tests using TypeScript, Playwright, and API/integration testing.
• Validate payment outcomes and coverage for UI, order, and currency states.
• Assess integration failure modes with developers and ensure no duplicate payments or inconsistent orders.
• Integrate and maintain product tests in CI with Engineering and Product Operations.
• Support release and compatibility validation within the existing release process.
• Communicate QA recommendations with clear scope, results, risks, blockers, and next actions.
• Share knowledge by reviewing test code and improving fixtures and documentation.
