Job summary

Shopware AG is seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to head a team of quality engineers, shaping the reliability of our commerce platform. You will couple people leadership with hands‑on testing, automation, and collaboration with engineering and product to mitigate risks early.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a technical team, including coaching, performance conversations and individual development.
• Hands-on software testing, test strategy and automation across end-to-end, API, integration or component testing.
• Experience defining and presenting quality metrics to guide decisions alongside risk assessments.
• Ability to set priorities, delegate work and collaborate with engineering and product teams.
• Clear written and spoken English; German not required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the team through regular feedback, performance conversations and career development.
• Define the testing strategy and quality standards across product teams with engineering colleagues.
• Prioritise and distribute quality-engineering work according to product risks and roadmap commitments.
• Contribute hands-on to test design, automation and exploratory testing.
• Investigate complex failures and validate changes affecting multiple parts of the product.
• Support releases by communicating test findings and risks to release coordinators.
