Job summary

CD Baby, a leader in independent music distribution, seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Test to shape our automated testing strategy across the member application and marketing site. You will own tests, fixtures, and harnesses, writing quality into the CI/CD flow.

You'll guide the testing practice from Playwright-based UI tests through API, contract, and performance testing, using AI to drive authoring, maintenance, and coverage. Remote within the United States, base salary ranges apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in software engineering with quality focus.
• Proven track record building testing practices from early stage to mature.
• Hands-on coding with production-like tests and maintainable fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year evolution of automated testing and AI augmentation.
• Design test strategy across UI, API, and performance layers.
• Build and own the test suite for the flagship applications.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and ArgoCD workflows.
• Mentor teammates and collaborate with cross‑functional partners.
