Job summary

National Laboratory of the Rockies seeks a Professional IV in Quality Assurance to lead QA/QC on major wind energy, water power, and grid integration projects at the Flatirons Campus near Boulder, CO. This regular, full-time role requires deep knowledge of plans, specs, and applicable codes.

You will develop procedures, manage RFIs, coordinate with site operations, vendors, and consultants, and ensure compliance through audits, inspections and punch-list management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Advanced knowledge of quality management systems and DOE regulations.
• Strong leadership, project management and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of contract documents including plans, specifications, and applicable code(s).
• Review and provide feedback on project-specific QA/QC plans with scopes of work and work procedures.
• Develop engineering procedures, including document control, submissions management, tracking of RFIs, material samples, testing schedules, and open punch list items.
• Implement project-specific QA/QC Plan in coordination with project safety plan.
• Always ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements.
