Job summary

Cognizant in the United States is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer – Insurance Platforms to ensure quality, reliability, and regulatory alignment of new business and policy issuance solutions across FAST/Hexure insurance platform.

You will design and maintain automated test scripts with Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, and TestNG, perform end-to-end testing, validate data exchange with partners, and integrate tests into Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, or test automation, including functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining test automation solutions using Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, TestNG, or comparable automation technologies.
• Experience testing FAST/Hexure or similar insurance platforms (new business, underwriting, policy administration).
• Experience with API automation, backend data validation, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance or annuity processes, including business rules and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and reusable framework components.
• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of insurance workflows.
• Validate data exchange and end-to-end workflows with partner systems and electronic applications.
• Develop API automation and validate data integrity and compliance requirements.
• Integrate automated test suites with Jenkins or Azure DevOps pipelines and support quality gates.
