Job summary

Ascot Group, a leading specialty risk underwriter, seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure quality of insurance products through manual testing and automated scripts. You’ll champion test automation, collaborate with global teams, and support CI/CD integration in a hybrid office environment.

The role requires 5+ years in QA within financial services, 3+ years in Commercial or Specialty insurance, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in testing/QA
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in testing/QA in financial services
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Commercial or Specialty insurance
• Exposure to different SDLCs; Agile experience required
• Functional testing experience; strong MS Office" systems and tools
• Excellent communication (verbal/written/presentation)
• Proficiency in test automation tools (Playwrite, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) and programming languages (Java, C#)
• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman and SoapUI is a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute project and release testing activities
• Prioritize tasks by business needs and manage capacity
• Allocate tasks, track progress and report status
• Manage clients, partners and stakeholders; handle risks and issues
• Collaborate with offshore teams to deliver projects
• Ensure escalation processes for risks/issues and actions are followed
• Maintain open communication across all levels of the organization
• Draft Test Strategy and Test Plan; estimate test effort
• Manage test schedules, create reports and metrics
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts; integrate with CI/CD
• Keep test automation framework updated and effective
• Execute automated test suites to identify defects and improve quality
• Stay updated on latest test automation tools and best practices
• Support ad hoc projects aligned with The Ascot Way
