The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to shift-left testing, continuous integration, and Agile-driven delivery cycles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web and API layers using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and TestNG.
  • Automate functional, regression, and smoke test cases for insurance applications (Policy, Billing, Claims, Portals).
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Implement data-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid frameworks following best coding practices and design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).
  • Develop and execute API automation tests using Rest Assured, Postman, or Swagger.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to implement shift-left testing early in the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to performance, security, and accessibility testing as part of the overall QA strategy.
  • Perform root cause analysis on automation test failures to improve framework reliability.
  • Maintain test repositories, manage source control (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket), and ensure traceability via Jira and Xray.
  • Generate comprehensive test reports and dashboards using Allure, Extent Reports, or Jenkins dashboards.
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and collaboration with technical and business teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of strong experience in Test Automation for web and API testing.
  • Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, and Rest Assured.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD integration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of Maven/Gradle, XML, JSON, and configuration management.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.
  • Exposure to containerization and cloud environments (Docker, AWS, Azure).
  • Solid experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
  • Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance — particularly Auto or Home lines.
  • Knowledge of test management tools such as Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
  • Exposure to performance and security testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of automation initiatives.
Certifications (if any)
  • Selenium or Test Automation Engineering certifications preferred.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • AWS or Azure cloud-related certifications beneficial.
