Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a QA Automation Test Lead for Life Insurance and Annuities in Boston, MA. You will deliver functional and automated testing across applications, collaborating with analysts, developers, and product teams to ensure reliable releases.

The role emphasizes automation using Java, Selenium, Playwright, and frameworks like Cucumber/TestNG, with hybrid work requiring 3 days in an office. Strong knowledge of insurance workflows and CI/CD is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in functional testing and test automation for life insurance, annuity, or related financial services applications.
• Automation experience using Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, and/or TestNG.
• Experience integrating automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Azure DevOps).
• Ability to design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Knowledge of regulatory and underwriting workflows in life insurance domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web-based and integrated applications.
• Perform functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing across multiple workflows.
• Maintain and enhance data-driven and behavior-driven automation frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG).
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Integrate test suites with Jenkins or Azure DevOps pipelines and support release quality checks.
