Job summary

JR Technologies is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our Engineering team. This hands-on role focuses on building robust test frameworks, owning end-to-end automation, and deploying AI-assisted tooling in daily work.

The position supports testing across UI, API, integration, and performance domains for mission-critical airline/travel‑tech systems. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of QA automation experience, strong scripting skills, and hands-on experience with modern frameworks like Cypress

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on QA/testing with a strong automation focus.
• Proficiency in at least two of Cypress, Playwright, Selenium with production-grade suites.
• API testing experience with Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Performance testing experience with JMeter.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data validation.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with JIRA or Azure Test Plans for defect tracking and test management.
• Experience in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Scripting in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with at least one AI-assisted tool in a real context and ability to discuss usage and limits.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output and adopt AI tooling as it matures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Own the full automation lifecycle: strategy, tool selection, execution, reporting, and maintenance.
• Write and maintain test suites using Cypress, Playwright, and/or comparable modern frameworks.
• Conduct thorough API testing using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI tooling.
• Develop and execute performance and load tests using JMeter.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents; provide quality-focused feedback early in the SDLC.
• Develop detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Maintain automation test data and ensure test environments are reliable and current.
