Job summary

WorkMotion is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (AI-Focused) to drive test automation strategy across web, API, and backend services in a remote-first, globally distributed team.

You will design robust test suites, mentor engineers, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while applying AI-assisted QA techniques using tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT. The role requires 6+ years in QA automation and expertise in JS/TS and Python.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in QA automation.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
• Testing RESTful APIs with Postman, REST Assured, or Insomnia.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Deep understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and QA methodologies.
• Knowledge of Git and Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases for web, API, and backend services.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality releases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test execution results.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior QA engineers, and promote best practices for test automation.
• Investigate and report bugs with detailed reproduction steps and logs.
• Ensure test data, environments, and tools align with team needs.
• Proactively contribute to quality culture and testing process improvements.
• Utilize AI-powered development/testing tools to accelerate QA processes.
• Apply AI-assisted test generation, debugging, and defect analysis techniques.
