US Mobile seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer to own and expand our end-to-end automation framework from day one. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to ensure top quality releases in a fast-paced, AWS-based environment.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on QA automation, strong JavaScript skills, and experience with Playwright or Cypress. On-site in NYC, with flexible hours and a focus on testability and reliability.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on QA automation experience.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and building automation frameworks from scratch.
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO.
API automation using Postman, Newman, or similar.
AWS services and CI/CD in a modern AWS-based environment.
Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Own, maintain, and expand the existing end-to-end automation test suites.
Design, develop, and execute automated tests using JavaScript-based frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
Build new automation coverage across API, UI, microservices, and integration layers.
Work closely with developers to ensure testability, stability, and quality of all features.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams in an AWS environment.
Investigate test failures, triage issues, and provide clear debugging feedback to engineering teams.
Contribute to quality strategy, best practices, and process improvements across the QA function.
Mentor junior QA team members when needed.

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who can take ownership of our end-to-end automation framework from day one. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands‑on QA automation experience.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
Solid experience with modern automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or similar).
Strong expertise in API automation and tools like Postman, Newman, SuperTest, or similar.
Experience working with AWS services (CloudWatch, S3, Lambdas, API Gateway, EC2, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
Strong understanding of software testing best practices and E2E testing strategy.
Ability to operate independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal direction.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
