Job summary

Hypori is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our SaaS product through a mix of manual testing and automated test development.

You will guide testing across RESTful services and UI layers, support on-call operations, and mentor the QA team while advocating quality engineering best practices across scrum teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance/test engineering.
• Experience designing and executing functional, manual test cases for a SaaS product.
• Expertise in Java, C#, Python or Go.

Job description

• As the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS product through a combination of functional manual testing and automated test development
• This position emphasizes strong test case planning, defect triage, and prioritization of work to support fast-moving, high-quality releases
• The role will provide guidance and support to both individual engineering teams and the broader organization, with a focus on validating functionality across RESTful web services and UI-based application layers, and supporting operations staff through periodic off-hours on-call coverage
• Creation execution and maintenance of automated test cases for RESTful web services for our SaaS product
• Build and maintain functional, UI-based automation tests for product front-end and user workflows
• Identify issues impacting CI/CD releasability and support a shift-left QA strategy
• Design and implement new testing frameworks as well as drive fundamental improvements to existing automation systems
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define test coverage, quality gates, and release readiness criteria
• Write, execute, and maintain manual test plans and test cases for features not yet automated or requiring exploratory testing
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure test coverage and execution
• Lead root cause analysis for defects and provide recommendations for improvements
• Serve as a mentor to the QA team, and advocate for quality engineering best practices across the various scrum teams
• Available to provide periodic, off-business hours on-call support to operations staff
