Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Senior Mobile QA Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience. You will design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for iOS and Android apps, ensuring quality across devices and OS versions.

Collaboration with developers, product owners, and QA teams is essential to drive high-quality releases. You will participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to test strategy, and help integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering for mobile apps.
• Hands-on testing experience on iOS and Android platforms.
• Strong knowledge of mobile automation frameworks and testing tools.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile QA Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and hands-on expertise in testing iOS and Android mobile applications. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust mobile automation frameworks, executing manual and automated testing, and ensuring high-quality application releases across multiple devices, operating systems, and screen sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for iOS and Android mobile applications.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure application quality.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Validate application functionality across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
• Perform accessibility testing to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release activities.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience performing both manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory) and automated testing for mobile applications
• Required: Working proficiency with Android Studio and Xcode for building/running apps, inspecting logs, debugging, and working with simulators/emulators.
• Experience with mobile automation frameworks/tools (examples include Appium, Espresso, UIAutomator, XCUITest, XCTest; equivalent frameworks acceptable)
• Ability to design effective test strategies across layers (UI, API/service, integration) and select the right automation level for stability and ROI
