Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior QA/Test Automation Engineer in Tampa, FL, to design and implement automated and manual testing strategies across web and API layers. You will develop robust test scripts with Selenium WebDriver in Java, while also writing comprehensive test plans and executing diverse testing types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 to 9 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
• Proficient in designing and developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, or similar.
• Solid understanding of the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Design, write, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured manual test plans and test cases.
• Perform thorough manual functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver in Java.
• Create and execute manual test plans and test cases for functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Perform thorough manual testing and exploratory testing to uncover defects not covered by formal tests.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks (Page Object Model, TestNG/JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, Cucumber) for efficiency.
• Run automated tests, analyze results, and coordinate with developers to resolve defects.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Conduct API testing using Postman or Swagger and validate with SQL queries.
• Participate in code reviews of test scripts and ensure coding standards.
