Persistent is seeking a senior full-stack engineer in the New York/New Jersey area to architect and deliver an AI-enabled platform, unifying fragmented workflows into a scalable system. You will own both frontend and backend, build essential services, and drive enterprise integrations.

Expect a hands-on role (70–75%), with Claude AI accelerating development, debugging, and documentation, while collaborating with product teams to ensure a production-grade platform ready for scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong backend experience with Python, FastAPI, Django.
• Proficient frontend development with React and modern web tech.
• Experience building API-driven, service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with AI-enabled development and Claude AI usage.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end full stack platform to unify workflows in a scalable AI-enabled system.
• Develop frontend and backend components, APIs, and services for production readiness.
• Integrate with enterprise systems, data pipelines, analytics, and data sources.
• Drive AI-assisted workflows, recommendations, and data-driven decisions.
• Lead architecture across the stack and ensure high-quality code and maintainability.
