Job summary

Persistent Systems in New York/New Jersey area seeks a highly experienced Python Fullstack Engineer with expertise in Agentic AI, Azure, and DevOps to join our AI-enabled platform engineering team. As the senior-most IC, you will architect and develop end-to-end solutions across frontend, backend, cloud, and DevOps.

This role focuses on consolidating complex workflows into a scalable, AI-driven platform for enterprise applications, collaboration, automation, analytics, and AI-driven

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Expert in Python backend with FastAPI and Django.
• Experience building API-driven architectures (REST, GraphQL).
• Frontend experience with modern frameworks like React.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and deployment in distributed systems.
• Experience using Claude AI to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Build the end-to-end full-stack platform using Python, FastAPI, and Django.
• Design frontend and backend components, including UI, APIs, and services for performance and scalability.
• Develop workflow-driven modules and exportable artifacts for reuse.
• Integrate with enterprise systems and data pipelines across data sources.
• Design AI-assisted workflows for enriched user interactions and decisions.
• Leverage Claude AI to accelerate prototyping, debugging, and system design.
• Own full-stack technical design and architecture.
• Act as a hands-on contributor in coding, reviews, and execution.
• Maintain high engineering standards across stack including testing and maintainability.
• Drive disciplined delivery to keep platform production-grade and scalable.
