Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced software engineer with strong Python skills to lead development of pricing and booking functionality for Structured Notes. You will deliver complex server-side features, ensure tests and CI/CD practices, and collaborate across data, application, and business layers in an agile environment.

The role requires 7+ years in technology development and at least 3 years in front-office equities derivatives systems, with a degree in CS or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technology development experience.
• 3+ years in development of front-office equities derivatives systems.
• Degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience designing and developing complex server-side Python and SQL functionality; Oracle Shell scripting and Unix knowledge desirable.
• Proficient in unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Agile working environment experience.
• Self-starter and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per acceptance criteria.
• Utilize multiple architectural components in design and development of client requirements.
• Perform CI/CD activities.
• Contribute to story refinement and requirements definition.
• Estimate work necessary to deliver a story.
• Contribute to test suites and analyze test results.
• Develop features within Python services and create new services.
• Plan work in an agile manner with team members.
• Write acceptance tests with QA.
