Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Code solutions and unit test to defined criteria and compliance.
  • Design, develop, and modify architecture components and interfaces.
  • Mentor engineers and promote CI/CD practices.
  • Refine stories, define requirements, and estimate work.
  • Perform spikes/proofs of concept as needed.
  • Automate release activities.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).

Job Profile Summary
We are seeking an experienced Front Office Software Developer with a strong focus on Python development to join the Equity Linked Structured Notes Technology team, supporting the Pricing and Booking platform. This role provides an opportunity to work on complex, business‑critical systems that have significant visibility across Trading, Structuring, Sales, Quantitative Services, Operations, and Technology teams. The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering skills with hands‑on experience in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, and C#. They will play a key role in the design, development, and enhancement of front‑office applications that underpin the Structured Notes business. Given the highly collaborative nature of the role, it is important that this position is based within the AMRS region to provide effective coverage and partnership with key stakeholders, including the Quantitative Services Group, Trading, Sales, Structuring, and regional Technology teams. Proximity to these groups will enable faster decision‑making, stronger collaboration, and more effective execution of strategic initiatives. This is a critical hire within the Structured Notes Technology organization. The successful candidate will work closely with front‑office business partners and technology teams to drive the continued evolution, scalability, and delivery of the Structured Notes technology platform, while contributing to the firm’s broader strategic objectives in the Equity Linked Structured Products space.
Responsibilities:
  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
  • Owning the technology stack supporting secondary market activity for Structured Notes within Equity Derivatives
  • Driving delivery of a multi‑year technology roadmap aligned to a major business growth initiative
  • Partnering closely with Trading and Structuring to deliver scalable, performant solutions that meet real‑time front‑office needs
  • Leading system stability, production excellence, and resiliency for mission‑critical platforms
Required Qualifications:
  • Exceptional development skills in any OO or Functional language including but not limited to Python (preferred), C#, Java, or C++
  • 8+ years of experience in technology roles supporting capital markets, derivatives, or structured products
  • Strong technical background with hands‑on experience in modern front‑office systems (e.g., Java, Python, C#, distributed systems, real‑time platforms)
  • Understanding of equity derivatives concepts including pricing, Greeks, lifecycle events, and secondary market dynamics
  • Experience working closely with traders, quants, or structurers in a demanding delivery environment
  • Proven ability to take ownership of complex systems and deliver outcomes in ambiguous problem spaces
  • Strong execution discipline combined with intellectual curiosity and a desire to grow professionally
  • Ability to operate effectively within a large, global organization while driving meaningful change
  • Experience in 3rd line production support.
