Job summary

SMX Space and Intelligence (S&I) BU seeks a Senior Software Engineer on-site in Boulder, CO, four days per week, to develop robust Python solutions for national defense programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize features while adhering to DoD standards and security requirements.

Requirements include a BS or higher in CS or related field and 9+ years of Python-focused experience; Interim DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Qualifications

9+ years of professional experience as a software engineer focusing on Python.
BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or another relevant field.
Interim DoD Secret Clearance or higher required; U.S. Citizenship and background screen.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code.
Utilize Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm charts for deployments.
Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize Jira for project management and tracking.
Apply DoD standards and security protocols.
