Job summary

SMX Space and Intelligence (S&I) in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is fluent in Python. You will work on real-time data processing, sensor data, and visualization within a security‑sensitive environment.

The role is on‑site four days per week at the customer location in Boulder, CO. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, write scalable Python code, and use Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jira to deliver secure capabilities under DoD standards.

Qualifications

• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or another relevant field.
• 9+ years of professional experience as a software engineer focusing on Python-based solutions.
• Ability to obtain Interim DoD Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and deploy features.
• Write clean, maintainable Python code and optimize for speed and scalability.
• Utilize Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts for deployments.
