Job summary

SMX Space and Intelligence seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Boulder, CO for an on-site role four days a week. You will focus on Python development, real-time data processing, and secure software practices within a DoD-facing program.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy features, write clean code, and optimize performance using Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. A interim DoD Secret clearance and 9+ years of Python experience are required.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: ability to obtain Interim DoD Secret. U.S. Citizenship required.
• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or another relevant field.
• 9+ years of professional Python software engineering experience.
• Experience with Agile software development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code.
• Utilize Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts for deployments.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Use Jira for project management and tracking.
