Job summary

Space is seeking a Software Engineer for a backend-focused role on the SMX Space and Intelligence BU. The position is on-site in Boulder, CO, four days a week, with a clearance requirement to obtain Interim DoD Secret or higher.

You will write Python code, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deploy with Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts. Experience with Jira/Confluence and Agile methods is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or another relevant field.
• At least 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for backend development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy features.
• Write clean, efficient Python code for backend services.
• Utilize Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts for deployments.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure high performance.
• Use Jira for project management and tracking.
• Adhere to DoD standards and security protocols.
