Job summary

CapTech Consulting in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and deploy Python-based applications for client projects. You will write clean, scalable code, collaborate with architects and other developers, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of professional software development, strong Python skills, and hands-on experience with Java, C#, or .NET, REST APIs, cloud environments, and AI/ML

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing production applications with Python.
• Experience with Java, C#, or .NET.
• Strong understanding of OO programming, design principles & patterns.
• Experience developing REST APIs, microservices & enterprise apps.
• Hands-on with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies & integrating AI services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Python-based applications per client specs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code; follow coding standards.
• Collaborate with architects, designers and other developers.
• Test and debug software to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvements.
• Stay updated with trends in Python and related technologies.
• Work closely with clients to understand requirements and provide guidance.
• Develop reusable components and frameworks to accelerate delivery.
