Job summary

CapTech is seeking an experienced Python-focused software engineer to design, develop, and deploy Python-based applications for client engagements. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and developers to deliver scalable solutions in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of production experience, strong Python, and hands-on work with REST APIs, microservices, AI/ML, and modern DevOps practices. CapTech offers flexible onsite/remote options and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing production applications with Python.
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, C#, or .NET.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and patterns.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise apps.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies.
• Experience integrating AI models or services into apps.
• Experience with Git and modern software practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience working in cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a client-facing consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and deploying Python-based applications per client requirements and project specs.
• Writing clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• Collaborating with architects, designers, and other developers to implement solutions.
• Conducting testing and debugging to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Participating in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Staying updated with Python trends and related technologies.
• Working closely with clients to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Contributing to reusable components, libraries, and frameworks.
