Job summary

CapTech seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and deploy Python-based applications for client requirements and project specs. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and other developers to build robust REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications, with a focus on quality, maintainability, and scalable solutions in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing production applications with Python.
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, C#, .NET.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and design patterns.
• Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies.
• Experience integrating AI models, APIs, or AI services into software applications.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience working in cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and deploying Python-based applications and systems according to client requirements and project specifications.
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborating with software architects, designers, and other developers to implement solutions that align with project goals and objectives.
• Conducting thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Participating in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in Python development and related technologies.
• Working closely with clients to understand their technical requirements, provide technical guidance, and offer innovative solutions.
• Contributing to the development of reusable components, libraries, and frameworks to accelerate software development.
