CapTech is seeking an experienced Python-focused software engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable applications for client engagements. You will write clean, maintainable code and collaborate with architects, designers, and other developers to meet project goals.

This role emphasizes building REST APIs and microservices, integrating AI/ML capabilities, and working in cloud environments with modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Python development on production systems.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise apps.
• OO programming, design principles, and patterns.
• Experience with Git and modern SDLC practices.
• Cloud-based environment experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Client-facing consulting experience is a plus.
• AI/ML or Generative AI exposure.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and deploying Python-based applications and systems according to client requirements and project specifications.
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborating with software architects, designers, and other developers to implement solutions that align with project goals and objectives.
• Conducting thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Participating in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in Python development and related technologies.
• Working closely with clients to understand their technical requirements, provide technical guidance, and offer innovative solutions.
• Contributing to the development of reusable components, libraries, and frameworks to accelerate software development.
