Job summary

Globant is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Python) to design, build, and ship production-grade data and AI systems for enterprise clients. This role blends technical leadership with hands-on delivery, owning end-to-end data and AI feature releases and guiding workstreams from design through production.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate across squads, and ensure reliable, scalable solutions using Spark, Airflow, Databricks, and LangChain in polyglot environments.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of data engineering experience, leading tech workstreams and mentoring engineers.
Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
Ability to work in polyglot environments (Scala, Java).
Experience with Agentic AI, Generative AI, ML, BI; knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt design, production outputs.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deliver production-grade data and AI systems for enterprise clients.
Lead technical workstreams and coordinate execution across delivery phases.
Mentor junior engineers to strengthen engineering practices and team execution.
Own end-to-end delivery of data and AI features from implementation to production outcomes.
