Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions enabling analytics and business decisions. You will work across cloud and on-premises sources, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and production-readiness, while collaborating with product and business teams.

The role emphasizes secure, high-performing data pipelines, data governance, and end-to-end feature ownership within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python and SQL in relational and analytical databases.
• Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data-processing frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery or Azure Synapse.
• Experience with Airflow for orchestration.
• Knowledge of software development practices including version control, testing, CI/CD, and Agile.
• Hands-on experience using approved AI coding tools to develop and maintain data pipelines.
• Understanding AI architecture and lifecycle including prompts, retrieval-augmented generation, governance.
• Highly self-driven, with ability to prioritize and deliver with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Integrate data from databases, files, APIs, event streams, and cloud platforms.
• Develop scalable transformations and curated datasets using SQL, Spark, and cloud data services.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and business partners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement data-quality checks, monitoring, alerting, security controls, and performance optimizations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide delivery updates, and contribute to end-to-end feature ownership.
• Use approved AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation while validating outputs for accuracy and security.
• Identify and implement AI-enabled automation opportunities to improve productivity.
