Job summary

Emerging Travel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to join the HQ Automation division and the AI/LLM Team. The role focuses on automating customer service workflows using Python (Django/Aiohttp/RQ), PostgreSQL, and on-prem Camunda.

You will design APIs, work with Camunda and LLM models, and help scale high-load systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Python/Django or FastAPI.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge and raw SQL skills.
• Experience designing APIs and integrations.
• Experience with high-load systems and large databases.
• Familiarity with GitFlow, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
• English at least B1 level, spoken.

Responsibilities

• Backend development of CRM/ERP product using Python (Django).
• Support Camunda infrastructure and integration efforts.
• Integrate with LLM models and develop related services.
• Design service architecture, decompose tasks, and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Analysis, QA, and Support teams.
• Lead development projects within the stream and coordinate resources.
