Job summary

Northbeam is seeking a senior-level software engineer who leans backend to tackle complex product problems from first principles and own features across the stack, with roughly 70% backend focus and 20–30% frontend work.

You will design reliable backend systems, contribute to AI-powered workflows, real-time data ingestion, and collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and designers to drive scalable, data-rich marketing analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and building distributed backend systems.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, or data processing in Python.
• Ability to work with product managers, designers, and data scientists.
• Startup experience or breadth in fast-changing environments.
• Ability to turn ambiguous product needs into solid architecture.
• Navigate complex datasets and dependencies in ambiguous technical situations.
• Frontend experience with React/TypeScript; deep frontend specialization not required.

Responsibilities

• Scale the new incrementality product into a reliable, repeatable experimentation platform.
• Develop near-real-time ingestion and processing capabilities.
• Build AI-powered workflows to evaluate performance and act on insights.
• Improve connection-state systems and extend the partner ecosystem across data ingestion and exports.
• Work on other product areas such as RBAC.
• Contribute to frontend work when needed to deliver complete experiences.
