Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee high‑impact photovoltaic solar and energy storage projects through development, construction, commissioning and turnover to Operations. The successful candidate will lead due diligence, define EPC scopes, and act as Owner’s Project Manager to ensure progress on active construction projects.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years in a project management role for renewable energy construction.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and standards; civil/structural knowledge.
• EPC contract negotiation leadership experience is required.
• Experience in utility-scale PV solar project construction; energy storage preferred.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and document RFPs and scope of work for 3rd party EPC firms.
• Lead EPC selection and contract negotiation.
• Conduct due diligence on potential solar sites and assess reports.
• Develop internal budgets and project schedules for the Execution Plan.
• Act as Owner’s Representative for EPC Contract Management on PV solar and storage projects.
• Lead EPC contract negotiations with Legal, Contract Management and SME teams.
• Review EPC contractor schedules, budgets, scope, and permits.
• Coordinate interconnection processes and related testing.
• Manage engagements with landowners, agencies, customers, and suppliers.
• Support permitting and jurisdictional approvals for construction.
