Job summary

AES Corporation in New York is seeking an EPC Project Manager to oversee high impact PV solar and energy storage projects through development, construction, and turnover to Operations. The role requires due diligence, scope definition, and Owner's Representative duties across US sites.

The successful candidate will manage schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communications, lead cross-functional teams, and travel up to 30% to project locations while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in a construction project management role.
• Renewable energy project experience preferred.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and civil/structural knowledge.
• Experience in distributed generation or utility-scale PV solar construction; energy storage preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, CPM scheduling and MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong partner management and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Define and document RFPs and scopes for 3rd party EPC firms; participate in EPC selection and contract negotiation.
• Conduct due diligence on potential solar sites and analyze reports.
• Act as Owner's Representative for EPC contracts on PV solar and energy storage projects.
• Review and manage EPC schedules, budgets, scope, and safety plans.
• Coordinate interconnection processes and related documentation.
• Engage with landowners, agencies, customers, and suppliers as company representative.
• Support permitting and regulatory approvals for project construction.
• Coordinate with EPCs and vendors to meet contracts and budget targets.
• Lead internal and external teams to deliver project deliverables and milestones.
• Ensure quality control and safe construction practices through on-site inspections.
